Over my years of shooting weddings and portraits, this was the first time anyone asked me to shoot a proposal. I was absolutely thrilled when a good friend of Boris, Caleb, asked if I was available to capture the action. A big perk was the location: gorgeous Kiawah Island. Caleb was awesome preparing and planning a lot of the logistics for Boris, who was flying in from Europe. The day before the proposal, Caleb found an awesome, secluded spot a good 15 minute walk down the beach. Here are some images from my engagement shoot with Emily and Chris at Piedmont Park. They’ll be getting married in Savannah, GA at the end of this year. I thought it was fun that they were the first couple I shot this year (on 1/1/12) and they’ll most likely be my final clients for the year (their wedding is 12/29/12).
