Tacky Prom

I am a volunteer Young Life leader at the high school my wife Erin works at, Tucker High School. Once a year, our area has an event called “Tacky Prom.”  Perhaps you are familiar with such an event. Pretty much it’s like prom minus the lame pretentious spending and drama…plus add in 100x awesomeness. Oh yeah… and a whole lot of tacky.

I was given the responsibility of providing the mock formals (as I called them) for the event. So I set up a lovely, but oh so tacky, background, let the students do their thing, and took some shots.

It was incredible to see the enthusiasm and creativity of all the kids. I had so much fun taking their pictures and loved all the crazy outfits!

If you didn’t know, the “jump” shot is all the rage these days. Well… it’s been all the rage for a while now. Don’t know what I’m talking about? You’ll see.
